Frais, sec, nuits claires. Évitez la chaleur d'été (avr.–sept.).
L'arabe soudanais est la langue commune ; l'anglais est largement compris.
La plupart des sites sont isolés ; voyagez avec un guide local et un véhicule robuste.
L'hospitalité est sacrée. Habillez-vous sobrement, demandez avant de photographier.

On the Red Sea coast, this is the country's principal working international airport and the entry point most visitors now use.
KRT · HSSS
The historic national gateway, beside the city centre. It has been closed to civil traffic since the conflict began in April 2023. Do not plan a route through it without confirming with your airline.
Regional fields
Sudan's regional airfields serve domestic legs to the north, the east and the west. Schedules are thin and change without notice; confirm each leg directly with the carrier.
